Archives for the month of: February, 2011

If you’ve taken a little wander through our little room – or, even a casual stroll down our list of current and former artists – you’d be hard pressed not to notice the strong Canadian representation. Although the most evident reason would be the incredible talent over on those chilly shores, but there are other reasons that you might not be aware of unless you dig a little deeper.

You see, our Keeper of the kabinet, Leah Buckareff hails from Toronto (at least, for most of her adult life) and while there, Leah met and even worked with some really talented and incredible people. More than a few of these people even inspired what now is The Wunderkabinet. She was asked to write a little bit about the kabinet for the go-to craft insider Toronto Craft Alert. You could read the piece HERE!

We’re finally able to replace our ghostly absentee photos with the real deal this past week!

We received two greatly anticipated packages – one from England and one from Canada containing some very special pieces. Our shelves are now complete with Émilie Voirin’s spectacular Bun Boxes! What better way than with these beauties to get over all those “hair issues”.

Also arrived is Jen Anisef’s Block Party series of plushy brooches and necklace. Home ownership is an elusive concept to most of us, but that doesn’t mean we can’t wear our dreams on our lapels!

In the event that you are not in or passing through Berlin, both artists’ work is available in our online shop!
